Marl Brander

 Visual Alchemist

E xplores the mystery of being through symbolic, dreamlike works that interrogate reality to reveal the abstract and the elsewhere hidden within the everyday. Working across drawing, photography, digital art, and AI, their practice blends minimalist abstract expressionism with metaphysical surrealism—a visual language forged through martial arts, esoteric studies, and a lifelong pursuit of seeing differently.

Trained in photography, theater, cinema, and storytelling, Brander treats each image as a portal: architectures dissolve into sci-fi glyphs (Soul of Cities), film still mutates at the edge of meaning (Sci-Fi Movie Architecture), and water surfaces become liquid mirrors of the subconscious (Capturing the Invisible). Their process embraces Rimbaud’s "I is another” a ghost self now materializing through gestural marks that channel alterity.

Born between polychrome fantasies and infinite projects, Brander’s work invites viewers to witness the moment when reality frays, and the invisible starts whispering back.
